I think we'll have to add a dead man's switch to the league next year somehow. If you go a week without checking your team, you get booted.

But seriously, what's the next step here? Are we going to start looking for replacements now, or just ride this season out as is and start fresh next year? I'd like to be going into next week's game with 12 GMs if we can, and right now it's looking like we need 3 more.

Edit: Okay, screw it, I posted a thread looking for more. By the time we actually find anyone and get them up to speed, it'll probably be well into next week already, and we can't really wait any longer.

Hey Mac, would you mind adjusting the rosters of our AWOL members until we get some word from them? The season is pretty much boned if we're playing with only 9 teams.

For now, I am prepared to adjust rosters, but feel I need agreement from some other members before dropping or adding players.

Oh yeah, sorry, that's what I meant. There are just some empty spots in the lineups that need filling. Thanks.

damn, I didn't think it was this bad. I am most certainly updating my roster regardless of my team's inability to stay healthy..... i couldn't drop some of the guys that are on the DL even though I have no room......

and the jays are just breakin my heart this year.

It ain't over yet! Dickey actually threw a good game for once, so anything can happen. When are we gonna hit up a game? I've been waiting until a nice hot day, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting any of those for a while.

And as far as the league goes, I say we seriously start looking for replacements starting next week. It doesn't look like our 3 missing guys are coming back, and now that my team has turned things around, I don't want it to be for nothing. We can still save this league if we want to.

Looks like the Freelancers won their game with an 11th pitching start. Medlen's 28 points on Saturday need to be deducted. Somebody's gotta be on top of this if ESPN isn't.

That is a very solid team you have. The streak had to end sometime. I can't wait to unload my 2 newest prospects this week.

So any plans for the abandoned teams? It looks like Flash might be back, but Philly and Tools haven't touched their teams in well over a month, and they're just gonna be handing out free wins for the last half of the season with the number of injured players they have.

This is always a problem, and there is no correct answer.

The fact is that some members have already played them, so if we do something different now, then that becomes unfair.

And experience tells us that we are very unlikely to get others to take them over.

While they have some players on the 15 day DL, that will pass, and so I see no real alternative to just adjusting the rosters on a daily basis to make the best of the situation. But any proposals should be discussed.

Hmm, I suppose you make a good point. I guess we may just need to have fewer teams next year, and try to be sure that we've only got active participants. It's too bad we didn't catch this sooner.
