Default Doesn´t work with my own url´s, but it works with the live-channels?

How is it that it works with live-channels but not when i set my own url´s?
Sopcast will not start up the link from other web pages.
I have to copy and paste the url into sopcast, why?

I´m running sopcast 3.4.8 on WIN 7 Enterprise and my port is set to 3902.

    regards,
    Odd

what browser are you using? Normally when you click the link, it opens a new tab/window and then accessing that link like a webpage causes sop to open, maybe it's a setting in your browser that prevents it, or security software you may have installed?

No its a bug in the last couple of versions of sopcast so you have to copy and paste the url manually into sopcast.

This also from today - http://forum.wiziwig.eu/threads/6934...71#post1442771

    Opera 11, XP.

edit: just gone to try in FF, updated first cause I don't use that often, and discovered it's up to 10 from my 3.6! really shouldn't have been checking websites with that now should I!

Worked it out sopcast needs to be open 1st for it to work where before it would open sopcast for you and play the stream.

Also been messing with the sop config file(config.xml) and deleted any reference to ads and in the adv folder i renamed sopadv.dll to sopadv.dll.bak & sopadver.dat to sopadver.dat.bak.

nope, sop wasn't open here when i tried it. FF did ask me which program to use as I hadn't done it previously and ticked the box to save the setting.

The thought occurs that you have ABP? I don't, could that be causing it?

Not sure if it's browser related, looks more system related. Also happened here when allowing more instances of sopcast. Even logging in as anonymous no longer works then and you can only start sopcast with an account, and then use the copy paste workaround. Maybe also something to do with administrator rights or other settings

interesting.. I only installed the latest sop about 2 weeks ago, as I was having trouble with a 'through VLC' one, and tried that to fix it. My user login was set to my username by default, and lost that when I installed the new one, which caused it to revert to anonymous, used that a couple of times and it was fine, then used my login again and still fine, all Opera and XP SP3. When i tried in FF 3.6 was fine, then upgraded to 10, still fine, none of those problems, and I have sop set to allow multiples (although again had to reset this when I installed latest version).

Anti/Virus, firewall? very strange that it's not easy to find the difference between those affected and those not.

Maybe it's because I work at a chinese takeaway, and the chinese are watching us all and know this?
