Ok, lets take issue with El Toro´s weekend. While it was very productive and balls out, lets consider not jumping on teh band wagon yet. I for one am still not sold on Pedro, simply cause I need to see consistency over a period of some games. At teh MLB level, you cant have a weekend like he did and then go 1 for 25 in teh next 5 games. You just cant do that. So until I see consistency, I will give credit when credit is due, but IO am not jumping on the vot for pedro bandwagon just yet.

Also, Lincoln has had 3 horrible starts....needs to go back to teh pen and lets see Owens have a shot. Also, Correia has had some bad starts of recenttime, maybe give locke and owens a shot. Was happy to see Cole move up to AA today, kid has a good hea don his shoulders and id teh real deal, but that is expected when you go to school at UCLA

As far as Pedro is concerned, i would still see what i could get for him. This 4 homer thing in 2 days is great, but then he goes silent for 3 weeks. Unacceptable to me. Maybe his sudden "burst " of offense on occasion will make him "wanted " by some team who is not bothered by his "on and off" offense! I am interested to see how long Pirate management "stays' with him giving he is considered the nucleolus of this team other than Cutch!!

The Burgh was smoking hot today. We took a friend to UPMC on Lytton off Bigelow. A small pitcher of coffee at the Holiday Inn was $8.32 before the tip; and the waitress was imploring us to eat! Captive audience; just like at the old ballpark...

Bumper to bumper from Greentree/WDVE to the tunnels. We all had to piss as we relished the view of the city come upon us, as it has thousands of times before.

I got bored at the doctor's office, so I strolled over to the Cathedral of Learning. I like the summertime students. Completely different vibe during the summer learning period. Also, potential students were being escorted around, and shown the campus. Bright eyed and bushy tailed indeed. I hope they become Panthers, and are all successful.

And I hope to hang out in the Pittsburgh Athletic Club the next time I go up. I shall have to call in a favor - from a Dapper Dan. And, tip the doorman appropriately. yea right...

When I returned to the office, and antibacterial lotion, I asked the pretty secretary if she listened to the game last night. "Yea" she said. Then: "Good pitching." Good girl. So, I replied that it is nice we have night baseball on hot days like today. She asked..."Yuns going tonight?" I told her we had to take our buddy home. She said "We'll be there!" And the receptionist a few feet away got a big smile on her face, winked, and did that little fist pump. Bless them Lassies!

C'mon Bucs. Tack on some more runs! That Span - he's doggone good! So are our Buccos - getting better under Clint Hurdle for sure...

"Hold on Twinkies...Twinkies Hold On!" Keep the Redstockings from becoming a big roja machine. The black & gold are doing their part so far. Our thirst for a competitive squad nearly guarantees two more sell-outs this weekend. Good for the vendors, and everyone around the Bucs!

You are right Crazy; too many Iron City's perhaps. C'mon Lincoln...give us a solid start to get us up on Cincy! Get some mo' going into world-class Verlander tomorrow.

Funny about Iron City. I think it's brewed in Latrobe for the last few years; and Rolling Rock is brewed in St. Louis. Now that is crazy!

    Default verlander

Good game plan rat. We were rooting for Kent State & Stony Brook...

I remember some of those frisky Spanish gals in Cartagena, Ibeza, and Palma de Mallorca. I am envious of your Mediterranean existence.

Alright...Verlander needs jumped on quickly. Get the pitch count up; but, plate some early runs.

That will get us ready for Philly's band box...

Tame those tigers, and sweep 'em down river.

The Twins come back to win against the Reds, Garrett Jones ties the game with a 2-run shot, now let's take the division lead! Go Bucs!

    Edit: Dammit! :P

    Igloo,
I think Rat was speaking of College football season. We have a worldwide posse that gets together in the NCAA forum for the games, debauchery, and lot's of drinking. Please join us in September and you'll see just how raucous it gets! The NCAA Baseball World Series final, Arizona vs South Carolina, is tonight and tomorrow night. (if needed).

Right you are ft. I realized that, after I posted. Trust me, we have followed the ncaa forum - especially the campus hotties! Great coverage there; of the games as well!
