Liverpool v Everton [Premier League]

Surprising game really. I expected a slow, stop/start, low scoring game. But, it flowed quite nicely and had plenty of end-to-end football.

I think I mentioned at the weekend that I wasn't too worried about this game because I knew Liverpool's attitude would be right. I thought it would be a draw, but I knew Liverpool would play reasonbly well. In the end, Liverpool played very well. Caroll was impressive, as was Suarez. Spearing was busy and effective, Kelly showed why he is much, much better than Johnson and Gerrard was superb. Have to give Enrique some praise too. Probably his best game for a good few months. The difficulty for Dalglish is getting that level of performance with the energy and movement into every game.

We won YOUR cup final

Who's Cup Final ??? The Reds were the ones playing their strongest team.

We just beat Man C, Chelsea and Spurs - this was just another game to us and we often slip up against the shit teams.

We were keeping our top boys for the real big games to come.

And BTW, despite a weakened Everton team there was only Gerrard who made a difference between the teams !
