    Be careful.
IE7PRO by now has two tricks. It tries to smuggle an ads helping programme and mainly contains a win32 malware.
    Helas,better forgrtting it.

have to add some filter subs to block all the ads, don't add too much, just add 1 or 2 more

With adblock plus, make sure that under "Filter Preferences" you have the box marked "allow some non-intrusive advertising" unchecked.

Also if you get a streamer annoying you with advertising, then you can easliy include the advertising network in the filter list by right clicking on the ad.

This is what i use to block the adverts.

    http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

Well if you use online banking or shopping, best not to use this because it blocks the page. So I use it to block the adverts on YouTube and stuff.

And its free. Just read the instructions on how to install it.

I've been using Adblock Plus with Google chrome for some time now. But a couple of weeks ago I uninstalled and got rid of my McAfee anti virus and replaced it with 'Microsoft Security Essentials'.

Before I made the change, I had to re-add ADP almost every time I re-opened my browser... Since the change I've not had to re-add at all, but I have noticed on pages such as Yahoo and youtube, that where the ad is meant to be, there's a blank space with the words, 'Ads not from this site'. There's no ad, just the blank space with those words. I don't recall the blank spaces before I made the change, only since.

    Is this normal?

In AdblobkPlus > Options, make sure that "Hide Placeholders of Blocked Elements" is checked. Also ensure that in Filter Preferences, the box "Allow some non-intrusive Advertising" is unchecked.

However, AdblockPlus for Chrome is not as effective as AdblockPlus for Firefox
