its the video ads that really kill me , i dont mind the static print type ads, but the ones with audio are impossible, they keep going even when i close the info page, there has to be a way to block them

Q13. SopCast has annoying ads...
A: You need to block SopAdver.exe//SopAdver.dll with your firewall program or make a text file fill it with loads of text and save it as SopAdver.exe//SopAdver.dll and replace the original with the one you just created...

Or just rename it SopAdver.exe.bak/SopAdver.dll.bak

Also edit the config.xml an remove all reference to ads and in the adv folder --> clips Delete its content.
