    Default iPhone Sopcast Lite

After a few days of testing with my own stream different formats and settings, that's what I found out.
Streams using MPEG-PS/H.264 or MPEG-TS/H.264 format will load and work fine on iPhone using wireless. Streams using ASF/WMV format won't load with Sopcast Lite.

On your iPhone go to App Store
    Search Sopcast Lite
    Install the App
    Open Sopcast Lite App
    Click on *Favorites
    Click on +
Channel Name: "Name it whatever you like"
Sop address: "Type" sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/ "Channel ID "
    Example Sop address : sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912//176549 or sop://218.106.52.252:3912/176549

    Click Save
Under Favorites click on saved *Channel Name" and let it load takes about 45-60 seconds depending on your wireless. If channel is not online it will close after after about 15 seconds and take you back to Favorites.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.Requires iOS 3.2 or later

    Enjoy

So not a official sopcast product then...?

One the App Store it does take you to sopcast.com when you click on Sopcast Light Support. Dunno why there is no link on the Sopcast website itself.
The App has been out since July 2011.

Make sure 1st button left side iPhone and is not set to vibrate. If it's set to vibrate instead sound you won't have sound.
Volume + and - is on left side of iPhone 2nd 3rd button
Also there is a volume bar on stream when u tap on the stream after it's loaded
That should sort it out almost sure you have the iPhone on vibrate.

    Hi
I have an Ipad 2 with ios 5.1.1.
I have installed the Sopcast lite.
All channels with in the app works.
I been tryed to bring favorite channels, as your guide, but no one is working. Returning to favorite screen after a wile.
I got the channels address from my Android mobile.
    Example: protv : sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912//111617
This channel is working on my Android but not on iPad.
    Did I done something wrong?

    Thank you.

I dun think this app can work. It's not a official product from sopcast. I have the sopcat lite in my iphone too but only can watch those default mainland china channels but none of the football channel such as Bloodzeed or those Russian or Romanian channels works. I've tried the Android one (official), can watch more channels but some of those play like slow motion. It may be the codec problem but overall is much better than that sopcast lite.

Works great with the high quality streams (When Sopcast's Working lol) Doesn't seem to load the lower quality streams, I guess it's something to do with the format they're broadcast in.
