Default English Premier League 2011/2012 - Final Thoughts?

Thought i'd start a thread to discuss your thoughts on the season..

Been some amazing twists and turns this season. Wigan, bottom for so long, finish 15th after a run of remarkable results. Some of the best goals ever seen, new champions, some crazy scores from Arsenal's 8-2 hammering at United, relegated Blackburn's 4-3 against Arsenal, to United's own 6-1 drubbing at home to City..

Chelsea finishing 6th! terrible season for them but could turn out to be great in the end.. Newcastle the story of the season with a remarkable performance, and some great buys and management from Pardew. Two great seasons from promoted clubs Norwich and Swansea, playing proper football and making it work; More of the usual ownership insanity handling managers, with AVB's 'experiment' showing that some clubs have overpaid twats for players - Blackburn keeping a manager despite fan protests EVERY WEEK of the seaon.. to Wolves stupid decision to sack Mick then fanny about and do nothing.

And of course, the most important thing of all, Everton finishing above them lot over the park. (sorry scouseman)
    There is no truth
And I may not be interested in your opinion

Unreal season really Bert. To be honest,I thought City would be right up there although I tipped Utd to just beat them so I was wrong on that one. I think I said we would be 3rd (totally wrong again) but I'm not complaining how things ended up. I agree with you about Newcastle who were terrific. Shame they just ran out of steam at the end. I thought the Gooners had a decent season in the end after an awful start and the Yids punched above their weight to get 4th.

As for down the bottom, well Wigan remind me of Charlton Athletic and how they also used to do a great escape every season 25 odd seasons back. I'm not surprised in the least by Norwich or the Swans staying up but the biggest shock for me is QPR managing to avoid the drop. A change of manager and a massive January shop certainly helped. Very sad to see Bolton go down. I think most neutral fans wanted them to stay up just for Muamba.

ManU had the weakest team I ever seen this year. No question they want to add some players on that crew, so we won't choke again...
As for ManC, overrated, overpaid, overhyped, thin-skinned managers, they couldn't stay in the CL or the FA Cup with they spending they made, but when we choked so hard in the end, they take advantage and the curse has been lifted for them.

Liverpool/Red Sox II needs to sign some prospects and start rebuilding because I see too many injury prone players on that team and they'll suffer with them.

Chelsea, very nice, WHATTA turnaround, AVB to RDM and the next thing you know they win their first ever CL.

    Spurs/Stoke/Everton playing like a mid-table team can make you a mid-table team
Arsenal, RVP better get paid or else they're gonna get Europa League games comin their way...
