Have to say though bert, does this question not restrict many game players to a load of crap players if they actually logged on late in the day?
Basically, the first man who logged on today (with a little common sense) would have picked Ronaldo, everyone else had no chance (in my opinion as the Czechs over here were shit scared of the man).

Well I figured everyone had a chance to pick something, probably got a couple more people than I expected, and didn't make the rules clear enough to everyone with several people missing it.

To be fair, there were a few possibilities, yeah it's obvious Ronaldo would score but whose to say it would be a one nil? Could have seen something different, and any of 5/6 players between both teams could have scored, particularly if it had gone to penalties, probably would have been someone different taking the first. Times that by four quarter finals to choose from.. but again I figure I didn't make it clear as most people picked players from the first quarter final.

Frankly I'm passed caring. If you can't follow a harmless rule in a game that's a bit of fun, then I'll just discount you from that part of the game. Giving you another chance to guess is more than i needed to do. If you don't calm down and stop telling me how to run this FUN TRIVIAL game then I'll just remove you from it altogether.

Sorry muckman I didn't know who you meant - I thought it was number 7 for the Czech Republic and you just didn't know his name! Obvious now, but can't change the points on that one. But, you CAN'T PICK GOMEZ. RDuncan8 already picked him, you need to pick someone that no-one else has chosen, and ONE PLAYER FOR ALL THREE GAMES , not one player for every game.

Exactly. I thought it would be fun for those checking regularly to have something else, particular as there are no score predictions for the knockout rounds - I'm now thinking I wish I hadn't bothered. Frankly I'm not going to waste more of my time on this, anyone that now doesn't get the rules should maybe ask someone to translate the several posts above where the rules are explained quite clearly. Any further wrong answers or complaints will just be deleted and ignored. Got far bigger things to worry about than the daily time I'm putting into running this, for free, for your entertainment.
