Default Dalglish sacked as Liverpool boss

Kenny Dalglish has been sacked as Liverpool manager.

The 61-year-old has paid the price for Liverpool's poor Premier League performances, especially at Anfield.

Dalglish's departure comes after face-to-face talks with principal owners John W Henry and Tom Werner in Boston on Monday.

No big suprise, done nothing of note since his Blackburn days, bar the league cup win. Grass never greener second time around .

Sad to see him go under these circumstances, he's been a good servant to the club.

I'm glad that the owners are unwilling to settle for mid table mediocrity. Looks like being an interesting summer at Anfield.

So the king has been dethroned. Where now for LFC? Just feel very sad for Kenny right now. To be fair FSC took the easy option in appointing him and trying to get on side with the fans straight away. Kenny has paid for his poor signings and too be fair large parts of the PL season have been very dire and he has looked out of touch with the modern game. The PL table does not lie and we have been very poor indeed.I think if it was anyone else I would not have minded but because it is Kenny I feel very low right now. For the life of me I thought he would have been given more time at least Christmas. LFC is not going to be a quick fix and I just feel that consistency and stability was needed. FSC have shown they want success now and have been very ruthless. To me CL look a mile off right now. But what happens now?? One man who would love to come back would be Rafa but I feel that would be a backward step. Thanks for everything Kenny but I did expect him to get the boot. Still shocked through

Just goes to show how tough football can be, a Liverpool legend gets the boot after getting his side to two cup finals in one season and winning one of them. Many clubs would be chuffed with that achievement in the same footballing year.
I did say when he walked into the job that he was in need of a miracle though, Keegan tried it and failed. Some managers are just too 'old school' and the game has moved on far too much for them.

    Who next then?

I think it's got to be a ''new'' younger manager for them . Martinez , Rogers or an outsider Guardiola

He was a miserable bastard who treated everyone with contempt. The demise of Dalglish was on the cards from the minute he refused to castigate Suarez for his racist comments and publicly tried to exonerate him. Dalglish was a great player but as a person he's another arrogant idiot.

Hmm...you would think if the Red Sox had a brain, they would pay Tony Pulis to take over, sell Downing and Henderson, loan out Shevely, buy Delap/Distin, bring back Crouch, bench Carrol, tell Kuyt NO SOUP FOR YOU, and finally, plz, play Kelly and Flanagan more and move GJ to midfield(the Zanetti role)
