Bale agrees new £130,000-a-week Tottenham contract

The Evening Standard, which has close links to Spurs, are reporting that this season's Players' Player of the Year winner has committed his future to the club by agreeing a £130,000-a-week deal.
The Welshman is likely to be allowed to leave in 12 months’ time should an enormous bid — in excess of £50m — come in for him.

Wenger did own him in the end, interesting to see if AVB learns from his mistakes, if he does and they keep bale i see them very dangerous next season as it will attract attention of quality players.

I agree with you in regards to Bale but the Wenger quote is almost hilarious, he finished 1 point above a manager who everyone in football said was a nailed on cert to get the elbow after 6 months. If you call that owning, you probably will be looking forward to staying in the hunt for a top four spot, at the very best.

My prediction will be, Chelsea, United and City to be in a three way chase for the top spot and us two going for what we both see as achievable and aiming for the final Champions League spot. To be honest I'm very happy to be able to mix it with you lot these days as a few years back, you used to win things and had far more ammo to throw our way...

Well if you notice i typed in the end, the owning started only after AVB said something about his prediction of arsenal heading into a downward spiral, only to see arsenal pushing up after that leaving him to eat his words in the end, so that's what i'm referring to, that is indeed some ownage.
Wenger deserves his little credit somewhere and that's where i give it to him.

But definitely overall AVB did much better than wenger this season due to expectations, that's why i thought it was sad to see our guys pouring champagne at the end of the final game, think cheering for the crowd in the stands would be enough.

It's time people start asking why the teams behind sucky Arsenal are still finishing behind us after all these 8 years past and start rating us as the 4 star club we now are

I don't think we will finish 4th next season, this spot we will give to a team in need, 3rd will be the spot!!

Very good read that I still remember when Spurs had signed Jürgen Klinsmann before the days of the internet. I found out about it on Ceefax. In the days before internet you were glued to the screen checking the football scores very few mins. Miss those days. Now with Twitter, social media and internet it is constant speculation and the window has not even opened yet.
