Well not totally impressed but giving everyone a run out is always good thing, not massively confident about this squad but hey if it takes the pressure off us as the tabloids always say we're gonna win it maybe just maybe we might go further than the group stages. Great turn of pace by Defoe, backed up by Walcott, then back into Defoe's path, powerful effort, but outside of Keeper's near post. 1-0 England, a win is a win, gives confidence going into the Euro's.

The form in the friendlies never carries through to the main tournament anyway. Only once the competative matches start will we see how England will truly perform.

Good to see the likes of Parker and Gerrard come through unscathed.

A very workman like showing from England without looking that threatening. The goal was very well taken indeed. The important thing in international football is to put that chance away and boy did he do that. For large parts of the game was really not the best to watch but what you do get with Roy is a well drilled hard to break down team. I thought Defoe looked good when he came on. Good that Rooney got a run out to keep him ticking over. Good without setting the world alight (is a good thing save that for the Euro's). Another highlight was seeing Becks with his new Tom selleck (Magnum PI) look. Onwards and upwards. The France game will be the true test. A positive result could really open the group and to qualification.

Sorry was not here but it was easier to watch on ITV on the box. 1-0 to England will settle for that come Monday week against the French.

Solid but uninspired again... the defence is good but there is nothing in midfield to create anything.

All we can hope for in the Euro games is keeping a clean sheet and pinching one on the break.

I thought Fellaini was excellent for Belgium... but how did Gerrard get MOTM ??
