    Default Bluebirds go red

Cardiff City are going ahead with their controversial rebrand and changing the club's primary colour to red.

Cardiff currently play in blue and are known as the Bluebirds but the club's Malaysian owners believe that there is more potential in a switch.

As a result, Cardiff's home shirt will be red from next season onwards and a new badge will also be introduced.

As a follower of Wolves, i wouldn't want our home strip colour to change. Cardiff's change is for money only.

Shame. It's a fact football is a business but you'd hope some things were protected from money men. The club colours should be one of those things. I'm also not a big fan of badge redesigns.

I'd be furious if they did that at Chelsea. We threw a right wobbly back in the 80's when Ken Bates put a little red on our home shirts for the first time. We also had a horrible red away kit for a season once too. Sorry but red is most definately not the colour!

Red in Chelsea away shirts go back to 1900's!

The first bit of red on the Home kit (socks) was back in 1959-1960 season well before Bates time Riise!

There is a bit of a debate on a few SAFC boards about Sunderland's new kit by Adidas and the famous 3 stripes and what colour they will be...?

I don't think there will be too much debate if United reverted back to Green and Gold.

I didn't know that about the away shirts in the 1900's N17. We've had quite a few red away ones I've forgotten about there. As for the red and Bates,I was talking about the home shirts mate
