    Post Cannot Retrieve Data Problem

I have been using Sopcast for quite a few years and had not faced any problem till a few days back. Whenever I play any channel, my sopcast says 'cannot retrieve data' and believe me, I have tried playing lots of channels. Also, my internet connect is pretty good.. so there should not be a problem with that. Does anybody have a fix for this?

Help would be very much appreciated.

I am using a connection provided by the university where I live...
Should I contact the technical staff here then?

You can try but it looks like they have blocked all P2P traffic can you still use torrents...?

It depends how they are blocking it (URL or IP or Packet Header Record or Port Blocking), but I have been able to get some viewers round this sort of problem by then installing HotspotShield and running that when they want to watch P2P streams

    Should be worth a go

Thanks .. I tried using Hotspot Shield.. But it really messed up my speed and anyway, it was still not working..
Do you have any alternate solution to my problem?
