Default At my wits' end! Stream Torrent will not connect.

I have a limited/partial connection. The links are being properly added and described in my ST client, but when i try to connect to them it'll just idle and eventually offer me: "Still trying to connect but channel appears to be offline".

    HELP!

    Things I've tried:

    1. Turned off firewall/added exceptions.

    2. Forwarded ports, and checked with port sniffer. They're open.

    3. Ran ST in comparability/administrator mode.

    4. Checked BBC ST link offered for testing, it doesn't work.

Nothing has worked! I'm running Windows 7 64x. Any help would be appreciated.

Hover over the StreamTorrent icon in the system tray. Does it display your current status? It should say "Stream Torrent Net State: Connected(Perfect)"

have you read the ST Guide ?

Is it a red X in your system Tray...?

EDIT: If all else fails try the Portable version of StreamTorrent its already pre configured - http://forum.wiziwig.eu/threads/7172...76#post1462976

yeah, if the red X doesn't go away, it'll never connect to any channels. the good news is that if you leave it open long enough, ST will eventually find some legit peers and the red X will go away--but it can take a long time sometimes.

in the meantime, i agree w/ DMW: you should try the portable version of ST. it shouldn't have the red X problem.

    good luck.

UPDATE: just saw your updated post... glad the portable ST worked for you.

Ok, new problem! I'm now connected but the links I try to connect to gives me a "Navigation to the webpage was canceled".

So frustrating, any ideas on this one?

Just ignore that message and let it buffer.

That message is just an "anounce" that has gone wrong.
