    Default Laptop gets to hot

    Hi,

Since the last few days my laptop shuts down by itself because it gets to hot. I checked the fan and it is working. Also I got the cover off and there is not extraordinary much dust in it.

Does anyone know what I can do so I can get back to streaming?

    Thanks!

Try using this piece of analysis software. Helped me a couple of times

If you are certain it is overheating that is the problem, and not software conflicts, then I have seem stands for laptops that have fans that blow air in through the vents in the base of the laptop, but never tried them, as I am a confirmed desktop user...only use the laptop when I am actually travelling.

http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Compone.../dp/B001OD76TK is just an example....you need to check them all out

I went for this one. I already had a Laptop cooler but it could only cool in the middle while the laptop gets really warm at the vents and fan at the side of the laptop.

I checked it and although I'm not an expert on this it seems to be attached correctly.

Well the heat come's from the cpu so if the fan is running ????? 1+1=3 but i said (waarschijnlijk)probably

YOU SURE THAT THE HEATSINK IS ON THE CPU OR DID YOU CHECK THE SMALL SCREWS ONLY???

See here the temps I'm getting. Both the cores seem to be the problem. When I stop streaming the temp immediately drops 20 degrees.

I replaced the Thermal Compound en temp is only a few degrees less. Strangely the laptop cooler does not make much difference when it is blowing from underneath. I did move one of the ventilators to the side vents and that seemed to result in a light decrease of temp.

Does anyone know what I can be? I also tried the SpeedFan program but it is not detecting my ventilator.

Sorry, but did you check it inside? It's likely,if you have never done that is full of rubbish(dust, hair, tiny crumbles,etc.).Unclog,clean and it shall go on.
