Default How to block ads for a dummy

    Hi,

Really annoying thing has begun for me with Sopcast, video adverts down the side of the stream. How, in lehman terms can i block them?

I use AVG and Spybot for Anti-virus protection if that helps.

    Thanks.

Not sure if there's another post somewhere in another thread regarding this issue.

All I do is mute the first ad, and let it play through, then pause the second ad. That usually shuts it up.

you can block these 2 "servers"

    close sopcast

    in windows XP
    go to
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder

    edit the file HOSTS
    and add these rows:

    127.0.0.1 ads2.adbrite.com
    127.0.0.1 adbrite.com

    save it

    start sopcast

to do all this (add the 2 rows) you can use the utility: HostsMan
