Also, if they are only for PC..can I use my friend's PC even though I live in Bangkok, Thailand? or is this only for North America/Europe?

to POSSIBLY get the p2ptv programs to run on a Mac, there are a couple of programs that emulate windows on a PC.. And for intel based Macs, there is the "Boot camp" program that allows you to install and run windows on the Mac.

yeah that's why I said Possibly.. so I wouldn't mislead.. I have only heard of mac's coming out with apps that will run windows, but I Havn't been able to explore it. you have to have an existing copy of windows for the Boot Camp, Boot Camp only adds the compatibility.. that I do know..

i'm currently watching with a mac using xp in parallels.

i seriously recommend parellels as a great piece of software.

only for intel macs though.

I just installed Parallels yesterday and was hoping to catch some of the CL action tomorrow night.

But I cant get Sopcast to work with Parallels and Windows XP on my Macbook. Sopcast starts as it should but I dont get any picture at all, not even an black box and the buffering status at the bottom, its just grey :(
Any ideas? WMP is a really old version, could that have anything to do with it? Or some other codec related perhaps, I installed a stripped down version of XP so I might be missing something vital.

I would venture a guess that your "really old version" of WMP has something to do with it. I think you need at least version 9 for these programs to work.

Hello, I am having the following problem running Sopcast on a mac using parallels and winxp:

everytime i try to access a channel, it just says that the channel is offline, even though i know it isnt (i have tried on a windows computer simultaneously and that one worked). does anyone have any idea how to get it to work?

I've been doing it for a month or so on my MacBook Pro. I (ahem) "acquired" Parallels through various methods. I had a copy of Windows XP at home with a few serials left on it, so I installed that. Went to some websites to make sure I had the latest versions of WMP and VLC, and it's worked flawlessly.
