Vertonghan and Lennon both guilty of not taking their chances so far...

Great singing and one minute round of applause for King Ledley in the 26th minute, touching to say the least...what a player!

Van Der Vaart showing yet again that he is a waste with a dead ball, he showed another reason why we need Sigurdsson on the pitch. As I said last week though, it's an impossible task to fit Van Der Vaart's goals and Sigurdsson's set piece ability into this set up.

Would VDV not be a bit happier than last season on the right in place of Lennon? He whinged before because he couldn't track back to defend but with this formation it not as important for him to do that, being in a more advanced position. He can then drift in as he needs to.
Then we could have him and Gilf on the pitch at the same time.

No good having a huge majority of possession but a striker who won't put enough of the chances made away. Spurs showing exactly where our sides weakness is and I couldn't care how many people rate Defoe, he is never going to be the answer in a 4-3-3. Adebayor will make a massive difference but again, if we don't go in for another big front man and Adebayor gets injured, say goodbye to the season.

Van Der Vaart running about but having very little impact, Sigurdsson would at least provide a bit more than that. As usual Defoe hasn't held the ball up at all but after all he is meant to be a box player and with the amount of service he got in that half, why no goal yet?

Adebayor on at half time for me, Sigurdsson too or this game will definitely play out a 0-0.

I can't understand why we have to play 2 holding men in a game like this, I would have Sigurdsson as the support forward and stick Van Der Vaart in Livermore's place. At least then we can have someone who can make the killer pass in the middle of the field, also Van Der Vaart would probably get a chance or two running into the box late on.

Not really good enough.Playing Defoe as sole front man isn't working. Every time he sees the goal he shoots, regardless of whether or not he's in the best position to shoot.

For all our possession and territory, has their keeper had to make a save yet?

Second half, attacking the Paxton, we'll score between 55 and 65 minutes.

Ledley King is on the pitch now to celebrate his career. "Oh Ledley, Ledley" song has started... Incredible noise from all ends of White Hart Lane ..Ledley is looking forward to being a Club Ambassador and working for the Club he loves..

    Legend!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sub Livermore for Gilf and let VDV play deeper.

Van Der Vaart shows why he should be in the midfield role when he delivers a beauty of a 30 yard pass, which Bale controls and blasts over the bar. Livermore shortly after shows why we lack creativity from midfield with an awful through ball that finds the West Brom keeper...dare I add any more?
