    Default La Liga Round 4

    16:00 CET
    Málaga vs Levante

    18:00 CET
    Valencia vs Celta Vigo

    20:00 CET
    Getafe vs FC Barcelona

    22:00 CET
    FC Sevilla vs Real Madrid

    STREAMS

The two clubs from Valencia right after each other - but while Levante already have four points, Valencia CF are still waiting for the first win of the season. Maybe they'll archieve it against Celta in the Mestalla with a brand new lawn. Barça (without Iniesta, Alba and Alexis due to the FIFA virus) go to Getafe, where Real had a pretty unpleasant meeting a few weeks ago, and will have it really hard to earn any points. And in the evening the top game of the weekend between Sevilla and Real Madrid. One could think the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán is a difficult site for the merengues, but in the last two years los blancos had two easy 6:2 wins.

FC Barcelona: Víctor Valdés; Montoya, Piqué, Puyol, Adriano; Busquets, Xavi, Thiago; Cesc, Tello y Pedro.

This line up has all the ingredients of having a hard game ahead.

    Earlier results:
    Málaga 3-1 Levante
    Valencia 2-1 Celta Vigo

Barça leading 1-0 against Getafe thanks to Adriano. Overall a much better first half than I expected, apart from one or two set pieces and counter attacks everything under control. Fábregas getting an assist can be only good, once he gets back some confidence he'll be a totally different player again. Also Thiago had a good half and substituted Iniesta quite well.

Won't be an easy win then but 3 points is the most important of course

    Gooooooool de Mascherano

(into the wrong one, unfortunately) But since it's still 1-3, I can live with Jefecito scoring his first goal for Barça

Sevilla can't play with Madrid even at their best

Congrats to Barca for the title. Real better wake up soon to make ground to the CL-ranks.

Thanks, but it's still a little early. What do you think about the reasons?
Guess it's lack of creativity: Özil is totally out of form, CR only thinks about Messi's earnings and Modric not yet fully integrated.

And Mourinho: "De momento, no tengo equipo."

Wow, the Special One - sorry, the Only One, publicly attacks his team in the press conference after the match. I always thought it's one of his best qualities to protect the team no matter what by directing all the attention onto him.

Nice win no doubt. But Puyi just doesn´t get a break from his injuries won´t be there for the clasico in 3 weeks time.

And the referees as usual a pure disgrace. 8 points on Real is nice but this is far from over. Real is still a very dangerous team and of course we´ve seen many times what the spanish refs are capable of...

Because they are calling everything against Barca... Come on, both get their "good calls"!

They are no team at the moment. Özil plays like ass, Arbeloa is still one of the worst pro's i've ever seen. Ronaldo, i don't know, something is wrong with him, don't know what. Personally i like what Mourinho did, wake them up, fire them up. You play bad week after week and your coach protects you all the time, what does it bring to the team?

I mean if even Alonso, one of the best players in the world, is not in shape and plays not that good you know you have a "bigger" problem. Something has to happen, team has to speak without coaches and see where they stand.

Casillas was frustrated the whole night, rarely i saw him that frustrated.

    We will see...

You know, I´m not going to discusswith you who gets the better end and who not. This would lead to nowhere for obvious reasons. I´m just going to say that I would be very happy if rules would be applied like in the PL or the Bundesliga just to name 2 big leagues. You too? Errors are normal, the thing is that what we saw yesterday, (and surely not only yesterday) can´t hardly be called "errors"

Every team gets good and bad calls against them, it's natural. It all evens out by the end of the season. Last season, from a Barcelona point of view, there were a lot of 'should have been penalties' not given early in the season, but at the end of the season there were also a hell of a lot of 'never penalties' given.

So at least we agree on the most important thing of any game. Rules must not only be obeyed but also be applied in the first place.

In Spain they are intentionally ignored. If that happened "only" once or twice a year you´d be angry for 1 or 2 days and forget about it. But in Spain it happens again and again and again... that´s why I can´t FULLY enjoy it even when Barca wins and Real loses. Refs, commitees, presidents etc. just doesn´t seem to tire or care about making hillarious decissions.
If it wasn´t because I admire Barcas style and philosophy I wouldn´t care about watching these two (tremendous) teams when they play in La Liga. Because you go into every game thinking "let´s hope these guys who call themselfs referees don´t mess up the game again"
