Well, Vista..... hmmmm.... I'm sure you've heard this before.... sux. I do not have a vista machine so I can't compare. But I'd like to ask 3 questions...

Do you want Windows 7 ultimate or any version?
Are you comfortable with installing cracked programs?
Are you good with installing programs with specific instructions?

If it's yes...
(It will have to be a clean install. Meaning you will have to re-install everything; programs and your private data, like pics, videos, docs, etc.)
I can upload it to file share and then send you a PM (personal message) and give you the links in private.

My other suggestion is to try the streams in Real Player. I have a good review from a solid member that it works great.

Another thing just occurred to me... because Vista is funky with control permissions... be sure you are logged in as an administrator when making any adjustments in Vista.

I'm running Vista and have the same Advanced settings in VLC that ft420 posted earlier. I'm using ver 2.0.4 though.

I don't know anything about Windows 7, but I am sure its better than Vista, and I would have no issues with a cracked program. However, installing software isn't a specialty of mine (probably evident from this post!) and the fact that I would have to re-install everything on my computer would put me in tears. I think I would prefer trying real player or even getting a copy of VLC 2.0.4 as Woods Pine mentioned.
Where could I get one of those.
Again, thanks so much for this. I can't tell you how much its appreciated. I need to see my Badgers so I need to get this issue rectified!

No problem... At the same site as the VLC.... low in the page.... is this link with download available... http://www.videolan.org/vlc/releases/2.0.4.html.
Uninstall the previous version first.

As for W7... you can of course buy a version of W7 and then upgrade... takes about 10 minutes and the upgrade saves and switches over everything, pretty much in the same place as before. But... you may know someone with a version of W7 (and has the install disk) who would allow you to use it. Each and every retail version of W7 allows 5 instances of installation (into new computers). That might be an option until you upgrade your machine and use W8, which is a big improvement over W7. W8 is really good with multi-core processors, but I'm not sure how it does with single core.

As I said before, be SURE you are logged in as an Administrator whenever you install a program. The way to tell if you are an Admin is to right click the program you want to install, then select "run as Administrator". If it works, you're an Admin. Do this every time and your issues will those programs will be less and you will have full control.

Ok, this is truly weird.

As you know, I "had" VLC 2.0.5 installed. I checked many times. I uninstalled it and followed the link that ft420 sent me to dl VLC 2.0.4. However, when I clicked on the link that was supplied, it downloaded version 2.0.5 anyway (maybe someone can double check?) even though it is listed on that site as 2.0.4.

Anyway, I downloaded the 2.0.5 version, went through the set up and went into the Tools>Preferences, etc as ft420 listed and NOW the preferences are there like they should be and I was able to adjust it to 5000!!

How weird is that???

Download StreamTorrent Build 0078 and you should read ST Guide as well.

Take the time to learn about the Software and how to use it!
You need to let a stream buffer for at least 5 minutes to know anything AND 10 minutes to know anything for sure.
Be sure your PC's date and time are correct.
Sometimes you need to close and reopen your browser. ie: Firefox, IE.
For most streams Internet Explorer, or FireFox is recommended. (solves most problems)
Get the most recent Flash update
ST FireFox Users: You may need to associate Streamtorrent.exe with st://... - More Info, near the bottom.
ST Chrome Users: You may need to manually add channels to your ST channel list. -See the ST Guide for more info.
For ST streams: try opening ST, then delete the channel/all channels from your ST channel list- then close ST in the tasktray- then re-click the link.
Mac Users: Go HERE...
Re-install Windows Media Player or Windows 7 Fix Even if it says you have the latest version. This really helps!
Sometimes the software needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled.
Other software... TVU ; Sopcast; etc which can also be found in the Wiziwig installer packages and the appropriate forums.

Windows Firewall should have exception for streamtorrent.exe; Open ports 15800-15900. ...or for some OS; IPv4 (TCP/UDP): 15800-15899 & IPv6 (TCP/UDP): 15900-15999
If you have a router please read How to Configure a Router for P2P Streaming/Networking
Install the connections patch, especially for Windows XP users at: Overview for XP3 or Overview for W7
Vista users using StreamTorrent may need to read > Fix-tvants-vista-wmp11
If you have a continuing issue, try clearing your cache and cookies. CCleaner works well for this.
Or you may need to try and Repair/Reset Winsock settings as a last resort.

How to use VLC to watch a Stream

Download VLC at OldVersion(dot)com ...or... New Version 2.0.5 - VideoLan.org and install it.
You cannot use VLC to watch a stream unless it is already playing in StreamTorrent
Open the main StreamTorrent application window. Start and Lock the channel you wish to watch. Then... once the stream has buffered & is playing, right click on the streaming player window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
In VLC, go to "File" and open a network stream.
In the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS box, paste in the asf link.
Click on "OK" and sit back and watch in VLC. Close the StreamTorrent player window, but DO NOT close out of the application, for this closes the stream. (Side note: The asf link will change for each stream. Usually the last number is what changes.)
Remember to Unlock the channel when you are done watching your stream.
Record with VLC! Click Here!

NEW!!!
You will need VLC 2.0.5 to view the 24/7 and Archive streams on PC/MAC/other OS.
You will need Zoom Player Pro (http://forum.wiziwig.eu/showthread.p...52#post1488252) to play back the LIVE links. Until VLC gets a fix.

You will also need to make an adjustment to VLC.
1st, Open VLC 2.0.5. Go to Tools > Preferences
Select the radio button "Show Settings" - All (near the bottom)
Select input/codecs.
Scroll down to advanced, and change the value for Network Caching to 5000 (ms).
This helps to prevent dropped frames and provides a more stable stream.

All the links will be listed in one place and there you will also find archived games you can watch on demand.

Here it is >> VLC2.05+tablet+mobile

So there is 1 link. The B1G mobile page will have ALL the links (VLC + tablet + mobile), so I will use it for all applicable games.

The iPad/Tablet links should be used for PC/MAC/otherOS computers.

Remember, you may have to:
copy the link > open VLC 2.0.5 > press ctrl+v (to paste link) into VLC > press play.
copy the link > open Zoomplayer then either hit "Shift + U" and paste the link, or Right Click on the player area Choose Open > Open streaming link (URL) paste link.

The iPad/Tablet links will work with iPad/Android/KindleFire tablets. (higher bandwidth)
The mobile links will work with iPhone/Android mobile. (lower bandwidth)
(Andriod devices may use MX player to view streams. KindleFire may use Vplayer.)

ATTENTION: 08/27/2012: ESPN3.com has radically changed their blackout scheme for simulcast ESPN games.

espn3.com will no longer be available for games that are shown on ESPN and ESPN2 is the short story for the purpose of a twitter headline, but the long story is more complicated.

espn3.com has radically changed their blackout scheme for games that are being simulcast on one of their regular ESPN channels.

The blackout scheme does *not apply* for games that are exclusive to espn3 or that are scheduled to appear on non-ESPN networks. So most games on ESPN GamePlan have the same regional blackouts they always had.

If a game is scheduled for an ESPN network, can you watch it on espn3? Maybe, but the chances decrease the further east that you live, and no longer exist the later in the day that the game is played.

Start with the espn3 schedule for basketball:

Navigate to the day you are interested in and click on the blackout map if one is shown. For weekend games you can only watch afternoon games in Alaska or Hawaii, for night games espn3 is simply not available. For morning games it appears to be geographically blacked out on the East coast.
